After staying up late to finish reading my first book of the trip, we spent a rolly, rainy night (but, no leaks on deck!) in Smuggler’s Cove.
We had high hopes for a relaxing Tuesday and our wish came true. The surf on the beach was too high to land the dinghy for a hike and the clouds and chilly breeze didn’t encourage swimming or paddle boarding. It was perfect conditions for napping, catching up on Aegea’s log, reading in the cockpit, and spending a lot of time in the galley.
For dinner, the burger we made was so delicious we decided to call it Aegea’s signature burger. Our friend Shara recently told us about the RL sauce and we’ve been making it ever since. Combined with John’s talent on the grill, some medium-heat green and yellow peppers (for the Packers) and sharp cheddar, it was a very tasty highlight of a most lazy day.
